Wildflowers at Bonita Vista Trailhead

A 2 mile hike on March 15, 2017 from the Bonita Vista Trailhead produced a list of over 28 wildflowers in bloom! A list has been put in the information box. There were carpets of gilia and coreopsis on the hillsides. It was exciting to see an owl back in the area.  The Bonita Vista trailhead is accessible from Roundup Way which is paved. Take Bonita Vista south up the bumpy dirt road. It is just a tenth of a mile on the dirt road, so you could park alongside Roundup Way and walk up the dirt road. There is a map in the information box. We took “D” the Wash trail. and also visited the Knoll on the west side of the parking area. Please have fun visiting and stay safe. Even 2 miles can be a long way in the hills and it is easy to get lost.
